Curve Modification Table

 

The Curve Modification Table is a table generated in SQL only if an input field is identified as a Detail Key. Its purpose is to make high level adjustments to model results based on aggregated comparisons of actual to modeled Target amounts. Bins in this table represent vigintiles (5%, 10%, 15%, etc.) of detailed record counts, sorted by Modeled Target value. Actual Target values are compared to Modeled Target, and adjustment factors are calculated with the use of Variable Gradient Smoothing. These factors are applied in the Training Detail Table to arrive at the Modified Target column.
